NANKANG AR1 SEMI SLICK TYRE

The AR-1 is the latest high performance tyre from Nankang which has been developed to be a faster and more refined track day tyre.

This evolution of the AR-1 features a Kevlar lining in sizes 17" and larger. This Improves stability at speed and consistency.

• Improved design for increased stability and consistency, ideal for demanding tracks such as the Nurburgring
• Ideal track day tyre or ultimate performance road tyre
• Used as a control tyre by the M3 Cup, 330 challenge and Classic VW Cup as well as a podium winning tyre in open tyre series such as CSCC New Millennium and 750MC Club Enduro, proving its on track capabilities

The AR-1 tyre is MSUK List 1B approved and is ideal for track day drivers looking to improve their performance particularly in dry conditions.

Nankang recommended HOT pressure settings:

• Up to 800kg vehicle weight: 23-27.5 psi
• 800-1000kg vehicle weight: 24-32 psi
• 1000-1400kg vehicle weight: 27.5 to 37 psi
• over 1400kg vehicle weight: 34-42 psi

Optimum operating temperature: 71-104°C
Optimum camber settings: -1° to -3°

Nankang suggested solutions to handling issues by altering tyre pressures (adjustments to pressures should be done in small increments at a time.)

• To reduce over steer - Reduce rear pressures or increase front pressures
• To increase over steer - Increase rear pressures or reduce front pressures
• To reduce under steer - Reduce front pressures or increase rear pressures
• To increase under steer - Increase front pressures or reduce rear pressures
